The Thor edition tuck is a powerful merge of embossed silver simulation to honor the protector of Asgard with an elegant and strategically embossed portrait in the center. The tuck features no foil, but a glossy and embossed surface which will ensure that the mighty box will capture the attention of its audience and have incredible details in the artwork. The front features authentic futhark runes from the viking age which say ASGARD on top and THOR on the bottom.  The tuck back features Mjolnir, the mighty hammer of Thor, in the center of a glorious, shining and strategically embossed icon, which take direct inspiration from real Norse treasure and jewelry found by Danish archeologists.  As a centerpiece of the Thor edition, Mjolnir is featured in the deck along with a backstory of the mythological weapon as seen here. Thor edition courts are monochromatic, two-way illustrations to represent the cold seas and metal of the Thor's environment and for high playability. The courts feature iconic legends from the Norse pantheon of the realm of Asgard: Odin, Thor, Freya, Loki, Sif, Heimdalr, Frigg, Jord, Frey and many more. There are even character variations between the two editions, Odin & Thor, for a combined total of 16 deities from Asgard. All courts are passionately, hand illustrated by the Design Imperator team, lead by Patrick Leis and based on the foundation of our popular Midgard Playing Cards from 2016, which are completely sold out today. The Thor card backs represent the portal to Asgard below the Byfrost bridge and with a striking iconography of Mjolnir glowing from the center of it all. The artwork is a borderless design printed in CMYK and with an opulent and cold steel edge-gilding. The pips are 100% custom and unique for Asgard Playing Cards and based on authentic knotwork designs from the era.
